Back to Top Player Scoring
A competition lasts for the series of matches listed on the 'Fixtures' page relating to the particular gameweek. Players will be allocated points based on their performances in each of the matches as outlined below:
Player scores will be updated as the game progresses with final player scores to be allocated shortly after the finish of each game. Player points will be calculated using data provided to us by Global Sports Media. Global Sports Media are a leading provider of data. Whilst we will take all reasonable steps to deliver accurate data, neither TotelFootball nor Global Sports Media accept any responsibility whatsoever for erroneous data and at no stage will we enter into any correspondence relating to the allocation of player points. AssistsA player is awarded a goal assist if he makes the last pass before a goal is scored. If an opposing player or the frame of the goal interferes with the flight of the ball, then no assist is given. Thrown passes from outfield players are not considered to be assists. Own goals are always considered to be unassisted. All assists are reviewed within 24 hours of the game finishing. Extra TimeIn knockout games, players will continue to earn points during extra-time as normal. There will be no additional allocation of points for Clean Sheets; the 90 minute Clean Sheet bonus will remain intact even if a goal is conceded during extra-time. There will be no points allocated during a penalty shoot-out. Back to Top
Match CancellationsIf 3 or more players on a team do not play due to one or more matches being cancelled, then the team is declared a non-runner. The stake bet on this team will be refunded to the customer and the pool is reduced in size.
If 1 or 2 players on a team do not play due to one or more matches being cancelled, the team continues within the competition but the players that do not play will be allocated points as follows: All squad members are allocated appearance points in the event of a cancellation. Abandoned and postponed games will be treated the same as a cancellation. In the event that 5 or less games are completed in any gameweek, then the total pool will be reduced by the amount of the voided bets refunded to customers. In this scenario there will be no minimum guaranteed pool. Back to Top
Winning PrizesStake money collected creates a prize pool. 25% of the total prize pool will be retained to cover operational expenses (this reverts to 10% in Private Pools). There may be further deductions to return voided bets to customers in the case of match cancellations. Please be aware that the advertised total prize pool is at all times referred to before any deduction has been made. Prize PayoutsThe top 20% of teams in each game will receive a payout. The higher your team finishes in the competition, the more points that you will accumulate per €1 you staked on your team.
We divide the pool by the total points accumulated by all winning managers in order to calculate the dividend to be paid per point accumulated. Each winning manager will then be paid out the per point dividend x total points accumulated. For example, a total prize pool is €25,000 with a total of 5,000 points accumulated by all winning managers. This will result in a payout per point of €5.00. Payout scenarios:
